The Galerie bei der Oper (Gallery at the Opera) is, as the name already anticipates, located in the city center of Vienna. A team of experts is very happy to present a big variety of Japanese Woodblock Prints from 18th to 20th century. Additionally, we present European Woodblock Prints and Asian Objects such as Netsuke, Lacquer, Japanese and Chinese Ceramics.

Andreas Wurzer

(born in 1966 in Vienna) made a career change to the art world. He has spent a long time working in the field of international environmental protection.

A three-year stay in Paris roused his now burning interest in art, especially in classical modern art. With the opening of the gallery in 2013, a dream has been realised for Andreas Wurzer, who has been already working as a part-time art dealer for eight years.

He is the CEO of the gallery.

Sophie Adensamer

(born in 1986 in Vienna) graduated in Art History at the University of Vienna in 2013 and attended a Certificate Course in Art and Cultural Management.

She is responsible for the every-day gallery work, research and marketing. Sophie is part of the team since 2016.

Birgit Prunner

(born 1979 in Meran) graduated in Art History at the University of Vienna in 2011 and attended a Certificate Course in Art and Cultural Management.

She is responsible for the every-day gallery work and the webshop. Birgit is part of the team since 2019.
