This year, because of Covid19, we organised an ONLINE evaluation week for Asian art. Take pictures of your Japanese woodblock print, Netsuke, Okimono, your Chinese ceramics, bronze, painting and other Asian objects and submit online.
23rd - 27th November 2020
From November 23 - 27 2020, the renowned expert for Asian art Dr. Marcus Oertel will evaluate your objects by your submitted picures without charge and nonbinding and can also advise you if you are interested in expanding or improving your collection.
Dr. Marcus Oertel valuated Asian art for international auction houses many years. For Christies Paris, he was supervising the „Collection Yves Saint Laurent et Pierre Bergé“ and for the German TV channel NDR he was on the show “Lieb und Teuer”. Dr. Oertel is a freelance art historian, art consultant and art education.
What to do, if you want to have your artwork evaluated:
1. Take pictures
Take pictures of your artwork. For best practice see our left colume.
2. Send your pictures
Please use our online submittion to send your pictures and your contact information well-organised.
Please submit your pictures latest until Novemver 25 !
You can also drop off your artwork at the gallery during opening hours or send your pictures to Andreas Wurzer using whatsapp.
3. Recieve the evaluation as e-mail
The expert's evaluation will be sent to you as e-mail.
Your data will be only used in relation to the evaluation and will not be handed to uninvolved third parties.
How to take pictures of your artwork:
- One picture must show the entire front.
- One picture must show the entire back.
- Further pictures need to show details like signatures, seals, stamps, dates and damages.
- Also take pictures of everything else what makes your artwork special.
The pictures need to illustrate the condition of your artwork and to show how many pieces it has.
If you want to show the size (of a detail), you can place a measuring tape in the picture.
Take the pictues in daylight and use neutral background.
